Changes and enforcements for 2011 are in RED

We are starting with double headers, carpet ball, no height limit and a minimum of 6 feet on the pitches.

Sliding or getting out of the way on close plays is required especially home plate.

The catcher can not block the plate!

The only players on the field are the defense, the 1st and 3rd base coach, the batter and the warm up batter.  All other offensive players need to be either in the dugout or behind the fence.

If no 1st base coach is present the base calls will defer to the pitcher.

All strikes and foul balls need to be overtly(loudly) called by the catcher.  Balls and fair balls do not need to be called out.

The position of the fielder's body or feet, have absolutely nothing to do with judging whether a ball is fair or foul. The judgment is based solely upon the relationship between the BALL and the LINE at the moment the fielder touches the ball, or at the moment the ball comes to a stop, or on outfield fly balls; the moment it touches the fielder or the ground.

Batted balls that go in-flight from the bat and first touch the ground in the outfield (fly ball to the outfield), are judged a bit different from batted balls that go from the bat and first touch the ground in the infield, before reaching first or third base (ground balls.)

Home plate is irrelevant. Home plate is in fair territory, but other than that, it is just the same as the ground. A ball that hits the plate first, or ends up on the plate, is no different from any other batted ball.

No stealing and each team will hit and supply their own balls!  We are using a yellow .44 core ball.

No steel cleats!

Pitchers either have to pitch from the mound or no further than 3 feet from the pitchers mound in either direction and only 1 step forward is allowed during the release!

We are limiting home runs to 2 per inning.  The third home run will be an out! 8 run limit per inning for the team that is ahead.  1 hour time limit.

Batters box is 3 feet behind and 4 feet in front of home plate. At least one of the batters feet must be entirely outside the batters box to be out!
